An Internist is a Primary Care Physician who provides long-term comprehensive care. The physician manages both common illnesses and complex problems from adolescent age up to the elderly. Family Practice

Family Physicians are trained to prevent, diagnose and treate a wide variety of common illnesses and injuries to patients of all ages. The have received a broad range of training that includes surgery, psychiatry, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and geriatrics. They have special emphasis on care of families on a continuing basis, utilizing consultants and community resources when appropriate.

Cardiology

A cardiologist specializes in diseases of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels and manages complex cardiac conditions. Cardiologists are skilled in the functional assessment of the heart and blood vessels and in the clinical evaluation of cardiovascular disease. The Cardiologist often performs complicated diagnostic procedures and consults with surgeons on open-heart surgery and performs angioplasty as needed.

Nephrology

A Nephrologist is a specialist in internal medicine who has received additional training in the medical treatment that deals with the kidneys, espically their function and diseases. This training qualifies the nephrologist to treat kidney diseases in a comprehensive way since diseases of the kidney may affect the function of other body organs.
